[Video] Lady Gaga Captured Smoking Weed On Stage

Lady Gaga made a pit stop in Amsterdam in honor of her Born This Way tour.

When taking a break during her performance, the singer sat at the edge of the stage, where a box of cigarrettes appeared..

Dissatisfied with the nicotine, a bag of marijuana with a lighter came her way and her frown was turned upside down. Gaga smelled it to confirm it was in fact weed and soon after lit a joint and took a few hits. She assured the crowd that she didn’t do enough to get her totally baked.

She then went on to crediting “wondrous marijuana” for cutting back on drinking and giving her a spiritual experience when it come to her music. Rumor has it that she also threw the partially smoked joint in the crowd, an action has gained both notoriety and criticism.

MTV Video Music Awards goes Gaga.

Lady Gaga holds her video of year award for 'Bad Romance' with presenter Cher at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards could easily be said to be Lady Gaga’s. The super talented Lady with a weird fashion style aside from having the singular honour receiving an award from some she apparently models herself after (Cher) also went home with the eight awards including album of the year.

The 24-year-old singer who won seven of her “moon man” trophies for Bad Romance gave in to tears as she picked up the top award from Cher at the end of the night.

Lady Gaga, who wore an outfit that appeared to be made of meat, admitted she was very nervous before the awards.

“I was so nervous tonight that I’d let my fans down,” she said.

She thereafter revealed that her new album would be called Born This Way and characteristically sang part of its title song.

Five awards short of her record setting thirteen awards nomination Lady Gaga still managed to tie with A-ha, who won eight awards in 1986, as the recipient of the second-most MTV prizes in one night, failing to break Peter Gabriel’s 1987 haul of 10 trophies – including nine for his ground-breaking animated video to Sledgehammer.

Gaga won in categories that include best pop video, best female video and best collaboration for Telephone, with Beyonce.
