Pictures: Jessica and Luke have sex in the Big Brother StarGame

Posted on 23 May 2012 by Shola Syno

On the 17th day in the on-going Big Brother Stargame, which means that, housemates have been sex starved for over two weeks. The game is getting more interesting as the housemates get closer and get to know each other well.

Liberian Luke was one of the three housemates evicted from the game last Sunday. As he gets ready to fly to Monrovia, one that he won’t forget is his moments with one of Namibians housemate; Jessica.

Few hours to his eviction, Luke gave Jessica a very sensual massage while the rest of the housemates were asleep. Shortly after, they got even closer and busy behind the sheets bonking each other. Pictures Below

Davido to join D’banj’s new label roster

Davido to join D’banj’s new label roster

Posted on 19 May 2012 by Shola Syno

Davido, K Switch, D'banj

Reports are that Dapo ‘D’banj‘ Oyebanjo is interested in signing rave of the moment act, Davido to the imprint he would be launching soon following split from Don Jazzy and would also have D’banj’s brother, Kay Switch on the roster.

A meeting and possible signing is reported to have taken place on wednesday with Davido’s father in attendance at the 19 years old’s Lekki home.

Their presence at the ATL’s strip club for Maybach Music’s Meek Mill together might buttress D’banj’s interested in the teenager.

Davido’s manager confirms the talk between both artistes but details of what is been proposed is still sketchy. Whether it would be a joint venture deal since Davido and his family run a successful label, HKN or the standing for B Red and Shina Rambo (both signed to HKN Records).

An official statement or briefing should be released/announced soon.

Mixed Reactions As South African Group “Die Antwoord” Turned Down Lady Gaga

Posted on 14 March 2012 by Shola Syno

Cape Town – Many fans think it was foolish of Die Antwoord to say no to the opportunity to tour with pop diva Lady Gaga.

Others think Lady Gaga’s music will have a bad influence on the group.

According to lead singer Ninja, the Cape Town zef rap group said no, and will not accompany Gaga on her Born This Way tour. The tour starts in April in Seoul, South Korea.

‘Shitty’ pop group

In a recent interview with MTV News, Ninja and Yo-Landi revealed that many strange things have been happening, including being asked to tour with Lady Gaga. According to the group, they said no to Lady Gaga because they see themselves as being on a different level than her.

“Lady Gaga asked us to tour with her and we were like, um, no thanks,” said lead singer, Ninja.

The zef rappers are currently touring Australia.

They went on to claim that they left their previous record label, Interscope Records, because they tried to change them into a “shitty” pop group in the mould of Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas.

Twitter

Twitter was buzzing over the “invite” which Die Antwoord declined. Fans of Lady Gaga immediately made themselves heard as the news spread.

“Die Antwoord says no to tour with Lady Gaga, why? Because she’s not zef enough and doesn’t use the p-word in every second sentence?” a Lady Gaga fan tweeted.

Another fan tweeted: “So Die Antwoord decline the offer to tour with Lady Gaga :/ ..IDIOTS!!”

A fan of Die Antwoord tweeted: “Lady Gaga must feel dumb after Die Antwoord said no to her.”

“Die Antwoord turns down touring with Lady Gaga. Are we REALLY convinced their stupidity is just an act?” tweeted Capetonian @DiscordianKitty

Another user @AusiDineo said: “Let me get this right: Die Antwoord turned down Lady Gaga because her music(according to them) is weak, superficial sh*t?…self-hate much?”

Flavour N’Abania Signs With A South African Label

Posted on 08 March 2012 by Shola Syno

SOUL Candi Records is over the moon after signing Nigerian highlife music superstar Flavour N’Abania.

Flavour is enjoying a wave of popularity across the African continent. His hit song, Nwa Baby, has been part of the Johannesburg party scene for quite some time now.

“This is definitely a big one for our label since Flavour is currently a hit on the continent, particularly in West Africa where his music genre, highlife, has long been popular,” Sould Candi marketing head Lucky Mphilo said.

“With this signing we hope to make our foray into the West African music market, which has not yet been tapped into by a South African music label.”

He said the fact that Nigerian films were watched widely in South Africa was an indication that there was a market for West African music locally.

“We will repackage his album and add new songs. We are quite confident we will crack it with this one,” he said.

“Flavour’s music has exploded in Africa and we are thrilled to be his home here in South Africa,” Soul Candi label manager Allan Nicoll said.

Flavour signed with Soul Candi last week, paving the way for his album, Uplifted, to be sold in South Africa.

N’Abania’s popular Nwa Baby was inspired by a classic highlife tune called Sawa Sawa Le by Rex Lawson , one of the all-time highlife greats from Nigeria.

The highlife genre originated in Ghana as a blend of brass band music with the more danceable and less established rhythms of rumba and calypso in the 1930s.

Highlife is popular in Nigeria, Ghana and neighbouring countries and is said to have paved the way for the better known Afro-beat style.

While his debut album, N’Abania, was successful in East Africa and Ghana, it was his sophomore release, Uplifted, that shot his popularity cross the borders into other African states, ultimately becoming one of the biggest selling albums of 2010.

Soul Candi is home to some of the most prolific stars of South African dance music, such as Micasa, Liquideep, DJ Fresh, Euphonik and Lulo Cafe.
