Chris Brown made it official today, confirming he was no longer with Karrueche Tran. The singer issued a statement saying he didn’t want to hurt Tran anymore because of his friendship with Rihanna.
”I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Chris Brown tells Confidenti@l through his spokesman on Thursday. “I’d rather be single allowing us to be both be happy in our lives.“

The announcement comes on the heels of reports that Chris and Rihanna have been all over New York City together this week. The two were photographed together at Jay-Z’s Barclays Center concert. This should put to rest any speculation about whether or not the former couple would be getting back together. At this point it’s only a matter of time.
