After 28 years of marriage, Robyn Moore filed for divorce from the Oscar-winning actor, citing “irreconcilable differences.” With no prenuptial agreement, Moore could receive up to half of Gibson’s estimated $900 million fortune.
Moore is seeking joint custody of their youngest child, Thomas, age 10. The couple, married in June 1980, have six other children, ages 19 to 28. Moore also wants Gibson to pay spousal support and her attorney fees. Under California law, assets and finances are split evenly in divorce cases if there is no prenup.
Robyn will also be picking up 50 percent of the pension benefits that the 56-year-old actor built up during their 31-year marriage. Moore filed for divorce in April 2009, and the split became final in December 2011.
