The police in Lagos state are yet to release the corpse of Cynthia Osokogu, who was murdered by suspected kidnappers in a hotel in Lagos, to her parents for burial. According to sources, the police had planned to do an autopsy on the body yesterday at the Ikeja General Hospital morgue. Police Commissioner Umaru Manko said that the pathologist did not complete the autopsy hence the decision not to release Cynthia’s body for burial.
A service of songs was held on Thursday September 6th at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, Jos, for the late 24 year old who was raped and murdered in a hotel in Festac by men she met on a BB Group chat.
Cynthia’s burial which was scheduled for yesterday in Agbor, Delta State, had to be postponed when the remains of the deceased was still in Lagos.
She was a graduate of English Language from Nasarawa State University and was pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration in the same institution.
