Tracy McGregor is the first local South African celebrity to cover for the launch issue of South African Playboy magazine. The issue features picture of the South African model topless.
The magazine called the Cape town based blonde model up and she requested that she talk to her boyfriend, parents and close friends – a week later she got back to Playboy that she would do it. She sees it as a huge honour and doesn’t regret it. “My friends and family love the spread and they think it’s beautiful, and so do I.” She told celebrity writer Clayton Morar.
The magazine also has an interview with the magazine’s legendary founder, Hugh M. Hefner, Afrikaans popstar Steve Hofmeyr, a short story by international best-selling author Chuck Palahniuk as well as a centrespread of South African Playmate, Miss April, Amy Bridger.
Tracy has previously covered magazines such as FHM and Cosmopolitan, and also models for lingerie brand Triumph.
Playboy South Africa editor Peter Piegl said: “Not only is she [Tracy] one of the hottest modelling talents in this country, but she exudes everything Playboy celebrates about women.”

So she encompasses everything Playboy looks for in a model. What’s that? Skinny with fake boobs and willing to strip for the male population. Her parents must be so proud!

Tanit Phoenix was Playboy SA’s first choice, they offered the first cover of the magazine too her, and she turned them down. Tracey was second choice. They only offered R50k for the shoot. Aparently American Playboy offered miss Phoenix $500k, and she turned them down too, as she is focusing on her acting career and being portrayed in this magazine will reflect negatively on her, she is taking her work seriously. Perhaps we will see her topless in a future film.
