In the early hours of this morning, 6AM to be exact, one of Nigeria’s hottest Pop acts, DIPP narrowly escaped death while onboard an Air Nigeria flight on its way to Abuja.
The singer who was travelling to the nation’s capital in regards to performances and putting some finishing touches on his debut album ‘Future Is Now’ noted that during the flight that there was more turbulence than usual. “This was not my first time of entering a plane. Immediately we took off I sensed something was wrong. The turbulence was just too much. The other passengers were worried too.”
When the plane miracously landed in Abuja, one of the tyres on the plane was ripped apart because of the immense pressure on it. Glad to be alive, the passengers including DIPP hurriedly left the plane.
“I thank God I made it and the plane didn’t crash. This situation highlights the state of our aviation industry. Mine was just a story with a happy ending, who knows what could have happened.”
In a matter of weeks the singer who broke out with Dangerous featuring M.I in 2008, is scheduled to release his new video ‘Ko So Ro Nbe’ feat Da Grin. The video was directed by MEX.
DIPP’s highly anticipated debut album ‘Future Is Now’ is scheduled to drop first quarter of 2011.
