Our first lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan has got poor communication skills, we all know that. She utters dozens of grammatical errors while giving speech. Moreover, the post of a First lady isn’t by merit, but an extension of her husband’s presidential post. Been taking note of her grammatical error and here are some.
1. ”Yes we are all happy for their effort, it is not easy to carry second in an international competition like this one” while addressing pressmen after nigerian female under 19 lost out at the FIFA world cup
2. My heart feels sorry for these children who have become WIDOWS by losing their parents for one reason or another.
3. My husband and sambo is a good people – march 5, 2011
4. “The President was once a child and the Senators were once a children….The bombers, who born them? Wasn’t it not a woman?” At the eaglesquare – Patience Jonathan October 15 2010
5. ‘My fellow widows’
6. “A good mother takes care of his children.”
7. “The people sitting before you here were once a children”
8. “The bombers who born them? wasn’t it not a woman? they were once a children now a adult now they are bombing women and children making some children a widow”
9. “Welldone, It is not easy to CARRY SECOND”
10. “The president was once a child, and the senators were once a children”.

Kudos 2 d lord of #GBAGAUN for these wonderful printing, but this woman still remain our first lady,i will only advice her to get a private teacher that will start with her from the Genesis of education for better improvement.
Hats off to DaGrin. He once said in his song…’Won ni mi o gbo oyinbo, e jo e ba mi bi won, sé òyìnbó náà gbo Yorùbá..’ It’s true her spoken English is nothing to write home about, but still,do we have to air it in the open? Afterall,English was forced on us by our Colonisers, why should we disgrace and diminish eachother ‘cos of another man’s language? Whereas many of us can’t speak our mother tongues. NIGERIANS, it’s high time we’ve stopped this demoralising attitude so that our own LANGUAGES won’t go into EXTINCTION.
Shout out to our first lady…..I need panadol
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What’s up with the whole English speaking thing? How long are we going to continue copying the west? How often does an English commoner speak Nigerian languages not to talk of an official person?… It’s high time we start integrating our own languages into our systems, our own ways, our originality… Because of the nature of our diversity, Pidgin English will be just fine to use. A lot of things needs to be changed. Bankers and co-operate firm operators should stop wearing suits to work cos the Nigerian weather is hot!…We must not even do white wedding on suit cos its from the name “white wedding”… As for our first lady, she can speak her dialect for all i care and get a translator. The Russian, Ukrainian, Libyan, etc presidents will speak their languages at international conventions and as long as they pass their messages via a translator or whatever means, its totally acceptable!….

ST sanity, You that can speak English, is that the spelling of Fluently?
This is not an issue. It’s possible that one might not be literate but gets married to a learned spouse;and peradventure by a stroke of luck, the husband becomes the president. Are you people trying to tell me that she should relinquish the position of the fistlady to someone else because she could not speak? The only thing is that she should try & employ private tutors in order to improve which i believe she must have been doing to even reach this level. So,don’t be embarrassed. She still remains our firstlady.
is there a gbagbaun disorder here?
My dear sanity and ?mark, shameful is an understatement. But truth be told i didn’t expect better. Our government is filled with dinosaurs. Not cos of age but in ideas, actions and words. Shameful is an understatement. I think embarrassing is more on point.
It iz a shameful thing that the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria can not speak English flowently.
