SOUTH AFRICA – Ard Matthews, lead singer of the 1996 formed rock group Just Jinjer was arrested for drunk driving in Cape Town, South Africa.
Ard, who is engaged to model Landi Swanepoel, was involved in a minor car accident on Saturday morning at about 04:50 in the Cape Town city centre as he drove into the pavement with his bakkie and his car was towed by a tow truck afterwards.
The singer was taken by the police for blood alcohol monitoring and was then charged with drunken driving. where he spent the night in police cells.
He was released on bail and would soon appear in a Cape Town court. the singer who is said to be terribly embarassed took to Facebook and his status read: “Like an idiot, I decided to take a chance and I was caught. I learnt the biggest lesson and it will never happen again in my life.”
