Céline Dion has revealed that she is pregnant with twins.

“We’re ecstatic,” said her husband and manager, Rene Angélil. “Céline is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing.”

In an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Dion explained that she underwent in-vitro fertilization six times and had acupuncture to increase her chances of conceiving and carrying her babies to term.

“It’s stressful but I’m relaxing,” she said. “I look at my little belly. I do almost nothing. If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there’s nothing more important than that. It’s incredible.”

Dion and Angélil are parents to René-Charles Dion Angélil, who is nine years old.
