Blackmail particularly targeted at politicians by society ladies is on the boom.

Two house of rep members were recently blackmailed with one of the rep who hails from Anambra state parting with the sum of ten million naira. He was conned into an sexual affair by the owner of Safari House Fashion in Abuja, Cordelia. A photographer was tipped and paid by Cordelia to take pictures of them naked during their intimate act, pictures obtained were used to make their demands which the senator paid to avoid having the pictures release to the press. He made the payment to the blackmailers via a Diamond bank cheque.

The second rep member was a very outspoken Kano state representative, he was particularly unreluctant and loud during the Etteh/Gate scandal spearheading the group that ensured Etteh handed over to Dimeji Bankole, the present speaker of the house.

It has become a trend as we have been informed of ex ministers, top bankers – First Bank top manager,  several other senators and a commissioner in Nassarawa state who have succumbed to paying blackmailers.
