May 31st, 2010 at 6:26 pm
The year in review is 2009, MI’s album was 2008, his video was 2009 dats why it was nominated, wande coal was on point hate it or love it he deserved it. Da grin shud av wont best rap single, Mode 9 no question, They were’nt much street hop so terry g stole it. Next rated nominees are either over rated artistes or wack artistes who cares who won. The good news is that next yr is around the corner and plenty good artistes arre emerging.
And the winner is?….?
May 31st, 2010 at 10:24 pm
dagrin is d best,i swear.hes d best lyricist, best revelation, best street hop, best next rated, best music video for pon, pon, pon, above all best rap single.how can they give best rap single to some one else after dagrin had won best rap album?i wept.barrack o’grin ure d best.i came to d award bcos of him and paid for lots of ma friends but was highly disappointed.
May 31st, 2010 at 10:44 pm
dat boi dagrin is an icon and can only be compared to d likes of bob marley, michael jackson,fela,2pac.he was bold, fearless and confident.his album came out in december and by feb.hewas everywhere.he is d only rap artiste dat was able to synchronise and fuse both yoruba and english words 2geda to form a rhyme.e.g awon eyan wa mi kiri bi diamond, boi so good mio da yan mo.he was highly intelligent..i got his album in dec.and knew all d lyrics in 2weeks,word for word.get his 2 albums and listen carefuly, once dagrin picks a word, hes going to end entire verse with synonyms dat u can neva have imagined.im happy he died a legend.he would have done more collabo than any other nigerian artiste cos every artiste wanted to feature him to promote thier albums.yes he was dat good.
June 1st, 2010 at 3:51 pm
dagrin remains the best. i do not think that wande coal deserves all this awards
June 2nd, 2010 at 8:33 am

June 7th, 2010 at 1:13 pm
I think the HHWA needs more intelligent organizers, Y is it all about Money y not integrity and pedigree, u guyz deserve to be cane, i don’t know y the likes of MI, Da grin and less i forget Eldee De Don cud not get more than 1 or 2 Award / Awards, Thats wat we called Partiality. Those are d the 1 who their lyrics make alot of street sense!!! Dis Goes to all the Winner “Try to make sense sum tyms” In Memory of Lyrical King in 9ja (Barrack O’ Grin)
June 7th, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Who are the people talking rubbish here… Go ask your parents to use their money in making awards and giving it to celebrity.. If you dont know how things go… You should shut your crap.. Non of those artist pushed Wande Coal.. Tuface? For where… Which Tuface’s album is supposed African Queen? grass to Grace? Unstoppable? Or the upcoming one he his just planning to throw out…MI Tuface got theirs in MAMA…. Wande was the highest sold album in his year.. What are you saying? Go find a better job okay… U are comparing Don Jazzy with all those producers..? lol Don Jazzy is the best Producer Nigeria have ever produced….Dagrin got the fame because he died, he deserves the best rap album and they gave it to him.. Most people dont know him.. If you think it is a lie.. Then go ask him… people vote for these award.. She ona understand… no be one person dey choose am… Fools like you.. See as them be.. Internet don dey alow kids dey browse naw ona go come here come dey talk rubbish.
June 10th, 2010 at 9:21 am
Did not see the awards, but i do listen to songs a lot. I know all this artists songs and i must say who ever won deserves to win. Winning is not for everyone. Not winning does not mean you are not better than the winners. Rkelly is the R in R&B(and this is no news), yet he doesn’t win Grammies nor other Big awards because the organizers never get to see him accept their awards. But am sure someday to come, even the Grammies will have to give him a GrandHonour awards for all the beautiful songs he blessed us all with. So to the winners, i say Kudos and to the nominated i say congrats. And others just keep doing your thing, making your money and living your life. The Night as dark as it gets can still not hide the shinning of the moon, nor the night come the light of the day. So if you are good, you will one day be recognized. Tblaze@2010
