so it hapens Adaeze was pregnant when she married Super Eagles’ defender Joseph Yobo in the early hours on the new year’s day. The wedding that was witnessed by Governor Jonah Jang and his top government functionaries took place at the Evangelical Bible Out reach Ministries International (EBOMI) prayer city in Jos.

The General Overseer of EBOMI Prayer City, Prophet Isah El Buba actually said the solemnization of the wedding became necessary as the duo have dropped their past mistakes and embraced God. We doubt if he knew she was preg for him during that wedding ceremony.

They are both born again christians who gave their lives to Jesus during their recent encounter with the General Overseer in London.

Ex Model and celebrity blogger Linda Ikeji is an author and she announced that she is ‘beyond ecstatic’.  The Nigerian fashion ambassador began writing the book in January and this April she has had it published  “Everything in our lives is really up to us.” Linda wrote.

“From now on when you want to address me, you must include Author. For example, ex-model, blogger and author, Linda Ikeji…oh yeah…loves it! lol” she wrote further.

The book – It Takes You (A Book of Inspiration) is a 130-page book of 30 inspirational, motivating and life changing articles  and it would be sold forr N800 naira with a retail price of N600 if bought from her directly. It would be available in bookstores after the launch billed for the 5th of May at Theatre 5, Genesis Deluxe Cinema, The Palms, Lekki and there would be a book signing on the 8th of May at the Hub Media Store, The Palms, Lekki Lagos.

She would be giving students the book for  free.

For home delivery, it would cost an extra NGN1000 and for those outside Nigeria, it would cost between $30 to $50 depending on interested reader’s location.

Linda Ikeji was also quick to let Questionmarkmag.com know that she wrote the book all by myself as she enjoyed it immensely because  she loves writing. She hopes to share her experiences and impact on people’s lives positively with the book. When we ask of her three favourite authors, “John Grisham, Dan Brown and V C Andrews” she replied.

Oprah’s having a rough month. First, Kitty Kelley releases a dishy, unauthorized biography on the Queen of Talk. Now, Norh Robinson, an ailing 84-year-old farmer from Mississippi, has come forward claiming to be her biological father.

The New York Post caught up with Oprah in Manhattan outside the Four Seasons Hotel and asked her whether or not she was going to address Robinson’s claims. The normally cool-as-a-cucumber media maven snapped: “I will not be taking a paternity test, ever!”

And can you blame her? Oprah has survived – flourished, even – for 56 years without knowing the identity of her biological dad. She considers her mother’s long-term boyfriend (the man who raised her) to be her true father, biology be damned. And, frankly, if Robinson was altruistically interested in connecting with the woman he believes to be his daughter, he had the chance to do so before she was rich and famous.

Still, Robinson is in poor health, and says he’s not interested in Oprah’s money, but that he only wants to meet his daughter before he dies. Who can’t understand that?

Toni Payne

9ice and Toni payne went their separate ways as a couple without giving fans a reason and it fuelled the speculations that the track titled ‘once bitten twice shy‘ on 9ice’s tradition album was directed at Toni Payne where 9ice mentioned catching a lover giving another man ‘nodding’ (fellatio or blowjob as you may know it) – speculated culprit were Toni Payne and Ruggedman.

Toni Payne has been trying to get 9ice to address the issue but it is yet to make and consequent took to her facebook page to let friends know. Her status on April 20 read:

‘#justsayin #FEDup A song I heard n loved months b4 it came out is causin sme minor issues so I will address dis issue by simply stating that its not my job to clear d air but I also think its time the person who sang the song “once bitten” comes out and tells the truth to every1 and let us no who he sang it for…’

“I’ve tried all avenues and all I get is Promises (from 9ice, he’d say in yoruba ) ‘ah ma binu, ma shey, ma binu, mo busy ni, ma binu ok motigbo’ (interpretes as ‘Don’t be angry, I’ll do it, I am busy I have heard you’] My back was pretty much up against the wall.”

She said further that it wasn’t a mutual understanding to release a statement announcing their separation:

‘My thot is It was quick n easy for him (9ice) to release a statement dat he’s getting seperated (like who does dat anyways, as if its a good thing) so telling d truth about a song u sang shud not b hard especially if its giving d wrong impression about d mother of your child, let’s try n fear God o! Hmmn! So pls! I just wanna concentrate on my career n my child without dealin with fabricated gist. #dissapointed

To my friends whose names/image were dragged into this whole mess without knowing a thing (layi mo owo, layi mo ese) all I can say is I’m very very sorry! Maybe I shuda done dis sooner but my heart still wanted to av faith in my other half. Anyways, God sees my heart n I know he will deal with whomever started it.

Wale is absolutely Nigerian, his parents are of Nigerian descent precisely Yoruba but he has never been to Nigeria. Wale does the cover song for Naeto C’s massive hit track kini big deal produced by TY Mix saying he knows ‘a lil’ garri and iyan [pounded yam]‘, super eagles, Tuface’s African queen and moi moi [bean cake]‘. ‘Kini big deal‘ literally translates as ‘what is the big deal’ but best understand as ‘what’s good?’  Wale was born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin in 1986 and was discovered by Mark Ronson in 2006 and he signed to Interscope records in 2008. He released the ‘Kin big deal’ freestyle song over Twitter after making a shout out to Naeto C.

Wale has a twin sister and “Rhyme of the Century” was Wale’s first-ever song played on local radio. He also made the “Unsigned Hype” column of The Source and this would explain why he choose Naeto C’s kini big dea. besides been one of the biggest rap record by a Nigerian, it had the ‘go go’ element.

Wale said that he incorporates elements of go-go in his music and suited his “post-Kanye, post-Lil Wayne, alternative-meets-hardcore style”. Do you think otherwise?
